The storm passes. The sea calms to glass. Ahead: a coral labyrinth — the Threshold Reef. A vivid purple-and-pink sky overhead, a distant rocky island rising beyond the corals. Your partner braces a hand on the rail to stand — even calm seas are work now — and takes your hand with the other. The Light between you is so bright now you can see by it.
