What happens in week 29
The descent flattens into a lagoon. Small palm-covered islands rise from turquoise water, and jellyfish drift visibly under the surface. A child wading in the shallows turns and waves — at the two of you, but really at the Light. They are the first person to wave at it openly, and your partner waves back, eyes wet.
